A 45-year-old Parkland woman was arrested Oct. 31 on a domestic battery charge after a dispute with her partner over suspected infidelity, according to a Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.
Deputies identified the woman as Michelle Andrea Strauss. The victim told a responding deputy that he had gone upstairs to shower when Strauss walked into the bathroom and confronted him about turning off the location feature on his phone. He said she then grabbed his genitals and neck at the same time for about seven seconds.
The deputy reviewed photographs the victim provided, which the deputy described as showing marks consistent with a hand placed around the throat, the report said.
Strauss told the deputy that the two had been in a heated, ongoing argument about accusations of infidelity. She denied that any physical contact took place.
She was taken to the Broward County Main Jail. Booking records show she was being held pending an appearance before a magistrate.
