State Rep. Christine Hunschofsky will keep her district office in the Coconut Creek Government Center for two more years. At its October 22 meeting, the City Commission passed an ordinance on first reading approving a lease extension between the city and Hunschofsky, who represents House District 95.

The new term starts November 4, 2026, and runs through November 7, 2028, which is the end of her current term. Hunschofsky will pay $500 per month, according to the city’s agenda item as reported.

Mayor Jeffrey Wasserman said Hunschofsky and her staff should be invited to events held at the center. He told her she had been renewed. Commissioner Sandra Welch said having a state representative and her staff on site benefits residents, saying the city was glad to have them.

For residents, the arrangement means a state lawmaker’s constituent office stays inside City Hall, where people can bring issues to a local office without traveling to another city. Hunschofsky said she values the space and the way city staff have made her staff feel welcome.
