The City of Miami is urging residents to prepare for King Tides, the higher-than-normal tides that can flood low-lying areas across the city.

In a social media post, the city advised people to avoid walking or driving through floodwater and to keep vehicles away from areas that flood easily. Residents should also watch for changing conditions, the city said.

Flooding can be reported by calling 311 or through the ISeeChange app.

The city posted a link to its website, miami.gov/kingtide, where residents can find the 2026 King Tide dates and additional safety tips.
