Curbside recycling has returned to Coconut Creek, the city announced in a social media post. Eligible households can place three types of materials in their recycling bins: aluminum and steel cans, plastic bottles and jugs, and corrugated cardboard, including shipping boxes.
Plastic bottles and jugs include water bottles, beverage bottles and detergent containers. The city asked residents to rinse bottles, jugs and cans, and to flatten cardboard boxes before setting them out. Officials said recycling the right items helps keep the program running well.
Residents who want details on participation, accepted items and how to prepare recyclables can find them at CoconutCreek.gov/recycle.
