Pastis, the New York French brasserie that began in the Meatpacking District in 1999, has opened in West Palm Beach. The restaurant debuted in October, and it is the brand’s fifth location and its Florida presence beyond the Wynwood spot that opened in Miami in 2023.
The West Palm Beach restaurant sits on the ground floor of the 201-room Nora Hotel, a luxury property from hotelier Sean MacPherson and BD Hotels. The brasserie is the hotel’s signature dining room. The address is 1115 N. Railroad Ave., in the Nora District north of downtown.
The menu sticks close to the original. Diners can order French onion soup, escargots or fresh mussels, then move on to steak frites or the “Cheeseburger à l’américaine.” The bar pours cocktails, wine, beer and Champagne. Pastis has said the room is built for long meals, with white tablecloths and a lively dining room.
The Nora Hotel blends Palm Beach’s Mediterranean style with a downtown New York feel. It has a rooftop pool, a Sisley Spa and other food and beverage concepts. For West Palm Beach diners, the opening adds another high-profile restaurant to a stretch of the city that is turning historic warehouses into a walkable area of restaurants and shops.
