The City of Hollywood has released a Recommendations Report for the Washington Park Industrial Area Redevelopment Program. The city announced the report in a notice published Nov. 5.
The work follows an October 2025 community open house. The project team then held more public engagement, including a community walking audit, and gathered feedback from residents, property owners, business owners and other stakeholders. That input was combined with the team’s technical analysis to shape the report.
The document lays out short-, medium- and long-term recommendations aimed at improving safety, appearance, mobility, infrastructure, parking, economic vitality and overall function in the area. The city said the plan is meant to keep the district’s industrial and service-based character intact.
What happens next
The recommendations are advisory and will be presented to the City Commission for direction. The report does not approve street changes, new rules, assessments or capital projects. Any future work would require more study, funding, coordination among city departments and public review and approval.
For business owners and nearby residents, the report is an early marker of possible changes, not a final plan. Readers who want the full document can find it through the city’s civic alerts page.
