Wet weather is expected to crowd out some Halloween plans across South Florida on Saturday, according to the CBS News Miami NEXT Weather Team. Scattered showers will move in off the Atlantic through the day, with storms strengthening during the afternoon and into the early evening.

Forecasters said the rain will overlap with trick-or-treat hours in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties, but they do not expect a washout. Coastal areas of Broward could see an inch of rain or more. A Level One flash flood risk has been issued for the metro area.

Early afternoon high tides may bring more coastal saltwater flooding from Fort Lauderdale to Key West. The Miami-Dade and lower Keys area is under a coastal flood advisory, while the middle and upper Keys are under a coastal flood warning.

The rain and storms are forecast to continue Sunday and Monday before easing on Election Day, Tuesday. Clocks also fall back one hour Saturday night, giving residents an extra hour of sleep.
