Palm Beach County Tax Collector Anne M. Gannon announced Oct. 31 that about 623,896 property tax bills are going out to owners across the county, kicking off the 2026 season. The county expects to collect more than $7.151 billion this year. That money pays for schools, the sheriff’s office, health care, parks, fire rescue and libraries.

Payments are due by March 31, 2027. Taxes that remain unpaid on April 1, 2027, become delinquent. Gannon said more than 70% of bills are typically paid by Nov. 30, when the discount is 4%. The discount drops to 3% in December, 2% in January and 1% in February. Paying on the March deadline earns no discount.

Gannon stressed that the duty to pay stays in place even if a bill is lost or delayed in the mail, citing Florida Statutes 197.122.

The fastest option is paying online at pbctax.gov. Owners can also apply for the 2027 Installment Payment Plan through April 30, 2027, at pbctax.gov/ipp. Enrollment for the current year’s plan closed last April.

Residents with questions can call 561-355-2264 or email the tax collector’s office through pbctax.gov. The office warned that phone lines may be busy.
