The City of Fort Lauderdale is warning residents to prepare for higher tides over the next few days as seasonal king tides arrive. The city expects Tuesday, Oct. 27, to bring the highest tide of the year.

Approximate high tide times posted by the city are 8:50 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26; 9:45 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. Tuesday; 10:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Wednesday; and 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Residents who need to report a road that has become impassable can call 954-828-8000 or use the FixIt FTL app. The city also advises giving yourself extra time to get in and out of your driveway around high tide.

Drivers should avoid high standing water. If a trip cannot be avoided, the city says to go slow.
