The Boca Raton City Council will meet Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. to take up proposed protections for city- and Community Redevelopment Agency-owned land, along with budget changes and several contracts.

The biggest item is a pair of measures that would generally require voter approval before city or CRA property larger than half an acre could be sold, leased or transferred. The council will introduce an ordinance that extends those protections to CRA property through changes to the City Code. The rules would include limited exceptions.

The council also will consider amendments to the city’s 2025-2026 budget. On the contract side, agenda items include a price adjustment with Ashbritt, Inc. for disaster debris removal, disposal and recovery, and a revocable parking agreement with Genmark 10 East, LLC.

The consent agenda includes a $365,000 mulch supply contract with East Coast Mulch, a $350,000 sole-source equipment parts and service deal with Rexel USA Inc., and a $550,000 change order with Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company for employee medical and pharmacy benefits administration and stop-loss coverage.

Other items cover well rehabilitation and construction, electric motor and pump repairs, a report from the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee on the State Housing Initiatives Partnership program, and a legislative update from State Rep. Peggy Gossett-Seidman. The council will also pick a city representative to the Metropolitan Planning Organization.

The meeting is open to the public, and residents can attend in person or watch online. The full agenda is on the city’s website.
