The City of Hollywood is inviting veterans and active-duty service members to a Veterans Day barbecue on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at TY Park’s Corporate Pavilion #12, 3300 North Park Road. The Mayor and City Commissioners will host the event.
The afternoon includes traditional barbecue fare, music, entertainment, a banner plane flyover and a Veterans recognition ceremony, according to the city’s Instagram post.
Veterans and active-duty members get in free with a valid military ID, a driver’s license showing veteran status, or a Form DD214. Each one may bring a guest at no cost. Everyone else ages 6 and up pays a $1.50 park admission fee.
Space is limited to 400 attendees, and the city requires an RSVP. Those who want to reserve a spot can call 954-921-3404.
