Drivers in Palm Beach County should plan for delays this week. The Florida Department of Transportation has major projects, full closures and lane closures scheduled for the next several days, according to the outlet’s roundup of state work zones. Palm Beach County had not released its own list for the week, so the update covers state projects only.
The Boynton Beach Boulevard interchange remains the biggest job. The $64 million project is not expected to finish until early 2029.
In Boca Raton, Federal Highway is now in its final layout between Camino Real and SE 5th Street/SE Mizner Boulevard. The road carries two lanes in each direction, with separated bike lanes where the outside lane used to run.
In West Palm Beach, crews will fully close northbound U.S. 1 overnight next week. The Town of Palm Beach is in the final paving phase on South County Road.
Farther north, the Beeline Highway reconstruction is budgeted at $148.2 million and is slated for completion in late 2029. Drivers near the Jog Road intersection have also been dealing with a confusing set of U-turns.
