Red Bull Flugtag Miami took over Bayfront Park, where teams showed off homemade flying machines built to glide off a 30-foot cliff. Miami Hurricanes star Malachi Toney attended the event, and his aircraft made a splash.

The flights were short, but organizers and spectators said the day was a fun one. Jentry Miskin of the Yellow Brick Flyers described the appeal of the event, saying the team enjoys designing an idea by hand and then running as fast as it can before jumping off the cliff.

The trophy went to Kid Super, which flew 39 feet and earned bonus points for creativity.
