An arrest warrant obtained by Local 10 News says rapper Trippie Redd was involved in a physical fight moments before a man opened fire inside Dukunoo Jamaican Kitchen in Wynwood on Sept. 15, wounding two people. The restaurant is at 316 NW 24th St.

The warrant identifies 25-year-old Braveone Jones as the suspected gunman. Police said Jones was arrested Tuesday evening at Trippie Redd’s home in Southwest Ranches, where officers from several agencies served the warrant around 6 p.m. Jones faces two counts of attempted second-degree murder with a deadly weapon. The warrant lists a total bond of $30,000.

According to the warrant, surveillance video shows Trippie Redd, whose legal name is Michael Lamar White, shoving one of the victims. Two groups began fighting, and Jones pulled a gun from a crossbody bag, the warrant says. He shot one man in the back and struck a second man in the neck. Both victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital and were listed in stable condition.

Investigators tracked a dark Kia from Wynwood to the Sanctuary Doral apartment complex in Doral, police said. A U.S. Coast Guard officer also told detectives he had encountered Jones and Trippie Redd on a boat in Biscayne Bay the night before the shooting.

The warrant does not list criminal charges against the rapper in connection with the shooting. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
