Hallandale Beach police are asking the public for help finding George Harper, a 17-year-old boy who has not been seen since about 6 p.m. on Sept. 28.

Police said Harper was wearing a gray shirt and black Nike pants when he was last seen. He was headed to Ingalls Park, a public park at 735 SW First St. in Hallandale Beach, and is known to visit the Hollywood area often.

Detectives asked anyone with information about Harper’s whereabouts to call the Hallandale Beach Police Department at 954-457-1425 or 954-457-1400. People who want to stay anonymous can contact Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.

The case is a reminder for families across Broward to share updates quickly with police if a teen goes missing, even when the trip seems routine.
