City of Boca Raton offices and services will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, in observance of Columbus Day. Offices reopen Tuesday, Oct. 13.
There will be no sanitation collection on Monday. Monday’s route moves to Tuesday, Oct. 13, and Tuesday’s pickup moves to Wednesday, Oct. 14. Residents can check their collection day with the city’s Sanitation Collection Map.
Parks, beaches, beachfront parks and playgrounds will keep their regular hours on Oct. 12. Recreational facilities will run on a separate holiday schedule, though the city’s announcement cut off before listing those hours.
Residents who want a reminder can sign up for a text message on Sunday. The city also promotes its Recycle Coach app for questions about what can go in the recycling bin.
