Authorities are searching for two people who stole golf carts from the Fiveash Regional Water Treatment Plant in Fort Lauderdale and crashed them repeatedly during an overnight joyride.
Surveillance video from the plant, at 4391 NW Ninth Avenue, shows the pair entering the facility, looking around and walking to the area where the carts were kept. Another camera recorded one of them crashing a cart several times. Shortly afterward, the video shows them driving carelessly around a grassy area outside the building.
Anyone with information is asked to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
