The City of Tamarac has launched an online Interactive Permit Portal designed to help homeowners find and understand the everyday permits needed for home projects.

The tool covers common residential work, including tree removal, exterior improvements, window replacements and roofing updates. For each permit type, the portal lists required documents and gives step-by-step information. It also offers simplified explanations, organized categories and direct links to essential applications.

The portal is available 24/7 and can be used from any device, so residents can review permit requirements on their own schedule. The city said the tool is meant to help projects meet City guidelines and move forward without delays.

For Tamarac homeowners planning a roof, window or tree job, the portal is a place to check what paperwork applies before work begins. The city’s announcement did not include a cost or fee schedule.
