A severe thunderstorm moved through South Florida on Friday evening, dropping hail ranging from ping-pong ball to golf ball size. WPTV News received several reports of large hailstones in Riviera Beach, Lake Park and North Palm Beach.

Videos sent to the station’s newsroom show hail bouncing off driveways and landing in swimming pools. The same storms brought about 4 inches of rain to the West Palm Beach area.

More heavy rain is in the forecast for the weekend, along with coastal flooding and gusty winds. Residents in low-lying and coastal areas should expect wet conditions to continue, and drivers should use caution on flooded roads.
