The annual Muck Bowl between Pahokee and Glades Central kicks off Friday night in Belle Glade, with both teams hoping to add to a rivalry that has sent dozens of players to the NFL.

Rainouts changed the schedule this year. The teams will meet again early next week, so tonight’s game is not the final regular-season contest, as it usually is.

Pahokee comes in at 5-3 overall and 2-1 in district play. Glades Central, the home team, is 3-5 after a 9-1 season in 2025. The Raiders have already clinched the district title in a two-team district with Boynton Beach.

Glades Central beat Pahokee 14-0 last year, its second straight win in the series. The Raiders are seeking a third consecutive victory, following a Pahokee streak that ended the run of three Glades Central wins before that.

Both head coaches played at the schools they now lead. Pahokee’s Carlos Lammons won three state titles with the Raiders as a player. Glades Central’s Omar Haugabach is also a graduate of the program.
