Homeowners in the City of Miami with driveways that do not meet city rules now have a window to fix them through the Driveway Amnesty Program. The city said the program is limited-time and open to eligible homeowners, and the deadline to apply is October 8, 2027.

The Building, Zoning and Public Works departments are working together on the program. City officials said the goal is to improve safety, preserve green space and support proper stormwater drainage on residential lots.

Eligibility requirements and application steps are laid out on the city’s zoning page at MiamiGov.com/Zoning. Residents who think their driveway may fall short of current standards can check there before the deadline.
