The City of Miami is asking residents to prepare for King Tides, the higher-than-normal tides that can cause flooding in low-lying areas. The city posted the warning on Instagram on Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Officials advise people to avoid walking or driving through floodwater and to keep vehicles away from areas that flood easily. Residents should also stay alert as conditions change.

Flooding can be reported by calling 311 or through the ISeeChange app.

The city’s King Tide page at miami.gov/kingtide lists the 2026 dates and additional safety tips.
