The City of Pompano Beach will permanently close its Beach Lot starting Nov. 9 to make way for the W development. The lot sits just north of Atlantic Boulevard, at the corner of A1A and Pompano Beach Boulevard.

Several trees from the lot will be moved to the city’s skatepark as part of the transition.

Beachgoers still have parking options. The city said the Oceanside Parking Lot, the Pier Parking Garage, street parking and several other surface lots remain available.

The city also is offering a free weekend park-and-ride service through Circuit. Visitors can park for free at City Hall or the Old Town parking lot and ride directly to the Fisher Family Pier. Residents and visitors inside the green service area can request a pickup from a home or business. Circuit only provides trips to and from the pier.

People who want details on the Fishing Village Circuit Shuttle can comment “RIDE” on the city’s Instagram post.
