The Little Haiti Revitalization Trust has launched a new website, littlehaititrust.com, and opened its fourth-quarter funding round to eligible residents, businesses and organizations within the Little Haiti boundaries, the group announced.

The site lets residents check program details, eligibility rules and application steps in one mobile-friendly place. It also lists public board meetings, workshops and community events.

The open programs include a Small Business Grant of up to $20,000 for commercial improvements or up to $10,000 for equipment, operations and technology, aimed at brick-and-mortar businesses and nonprofits. A Community Education Placemaking Grant offers up to $5,000 for groups running free, multi-session programs on culture, education and engagement.

Homeowners can apply for a Home Rehabilitation Program loan of up to $100,000, which is forgiven over 10 years, for critical repairs. A Homebuyer Assistance Program offers up to $200,000 through a forgivable second mortgage. The trust also offers $2,500 college and trade school scholarships to eligible residents.

Joann Milord, the trust’s president and CEO, said the platform will make it easier for residents, small business owners and community groups to find programs and funding. The trust says it has approved $330,000 in Small Business Grant awards and has disbursed $22,500 in scholarships so far.
