La Birra Bar has opened a restaurant at 219 Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, adding its sixth South Florida location to a burger brand that started in Buenos Aires in 2001.
The company began in the Boedo neighborhood as a small family restaurant. It now operates in four countries. Partner and co-owner Vicente Cordero said the brand’s growth has depended on keeping the original product unchanged. “The recipe never changed,” he said.
The first U.S. restaurant opened in North Miami Beach in 2021. Since then, the chain has expanded to Wynwood, Fort Lauderdale, Weston and Doral before reaching Coral Gables. The Crispy Dubai burger won the 2026 People’s Choice Award at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s Burger Bash, and the company has taken that award in 2022, 2025 and 2026.
Cordero said the company uses Argentine beef in South Florida and prepares food at a local production facility in Miami, with deliveries to restaurants daily. The menu includes about 16 burger recipes.
The company is also planning a restaurant on Madison Avenue in New York City for summer 2027. The Coral Gables location is open for lunch and dinner, according to the company’s website.
