The 25th annual Feast of Little Italy is underway in downtown Abacoa, with the festival running Friday through Sunday. Gates open daily at 11 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

Saturday brought a world record for the most people stringing cheese at the same time. A total of 683 people took part.

Visitors can catch Galbani cooking demonstrations, wine seminars and a kids’ zone. Dozens of vendors will sell Italian favorites and festival specialties, and the Beachside Golf Cars Stage will host performances ranging from disco and dance to classic Italian songs.

WPBF anchor Felicia Rodriguez emceed part of the event and helped Chef Marco Sciortino prepare four dishes: penne alla vodka, eggplant piccata, orange chocolate chip ricotta pancakes and, for dessert, a chocolate peanut butter ricotta parfait. WPBF is a sponsor of the festival.
