Miami-Dade sheriff’s deputies and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded Thursday to reports of a person shot in southwest Miami-Dade, authorities confirmed.
According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the call described a shooting in the area of Southwest 148th Street and 155th Avenue, near Miami Executive Airport. Deputies were arriving at the scene late Thursday morning and gathering information, the agency said.
Authorities had not confirmed whether anyone was injured or taken to a hospital. Officials also had not said what led to the shooting or whether anyone was in custody.
The investigation is ongoing. The sheriff’s office said more details will be released as information becomes available.
