The City of Deerfield Beach has opened applications for two community parades in 2027: the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade & Celebration and the Pioneer Days Parade. The city is asking businesses, schools, nonprofits, marching bands, dance teams and residents to take part.

The MLK Day parade will run from Pioneer Park to the Johnny L. Tigner Center. Its theme is “Building Bridges, Creating Hope.” A community celebration with live entertainment, speakers, vendors and family activities will follow the march.

The Pioneer Days Parade will start at St. Ambrose Catholic School and end at Main Beach. The day will include live entertainment, food, family activities and a fireworks display. This year’s parade invites storybook-inspired floats, costumes and performances.

Participants in both parades can compete for trophies. The city encourages groups to apply early. Applications are submitted through the city’s online forms, and details on participation and city events are available at DFB.city/Events.
