A data entry error caused incorrect results to appear in the still-uncalled race for Florida’s 26th Congressional District, The Associated Press said.

The Democratic challenger to longtime Republican U.S. Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart believed she had won after seeing some results appear on the board. Those vote totals later changed, according to CBS News Miami.

The race remains too close to call. The district covers parts of Miami-Dade County, and the outcome will determine who represents the area in Congress.

Local voters following the count should expect official totals to come from election officials rather than early postings. CBS News Miami reporter Joan Murray has more on the story.
