The City of Boca Raton will hold a free e-waste and shred event on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at 6500 Congress Ave.

The event runs as a drive-thru. Residents can drop off old electronics, batteries and small appliances. They can also have up to five boxes of unwanted documents shredded on site.

The city said the event is open only to Boca Raton residents. A flyer listing accepted items is available on the city’s website.

For households with old gadgets or stacks of paper piling up, the event offers a one-stop option before the holidays.
