The City of Miami is asking residents to prepare for King Tide events, when higher-than-normal tides can cause flooding in low-lying areas.

City officials advise people to avoid walking or driving through floodwater and to keep vehicles away from spots that are prone to flooding. Residents should also watch for changing conditions.

To report flooding, call 311 or use the ISeeChange app.

The city’s website, miami.gov/kingtide, lists the 2026 King Tide dates and additional safety tips. The post did not specify the dates of upcoming high tides.
