The City of Hollywood is hosting its Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 3 to 9 p.m. at ArtsPark at Young Circle.

The day opens with a Parade of Nations from 3 to 4 p.m., which the city says will highlight the cultures represented in the community.

Live music and entertainment are the main draw. Puerto Rican salsa singer Melina Almodovar, billed as “La Muñeca de la Salsa,” headlines the lineup. Performers from Cuba, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela are also scheduled, along with a mariachi group and several Latin dance studios.

Students from several Hollywood schools, including Hollywood Hills High, Driftwood Middle and Apollo Middle, will also perform. The city encourages families to attend and bring dancing shoes.
