South Florida is getting a break from the rain this weekend. WSVN meteorologist Vivian Gonzalez said Friday will be sunny with lighter winds and highs in the mid 80s, and rain chances will stay around 10 to 20 percent.
Saturday and Sunday should bring mostly sunny skies and little chance of rain. The dry stretch should also help neighborhoods still dealing with standing water from earlier this week.
A mainly dry front is expected to cross South Florida late Sunday, followed by northerly winds. That could drop afternoon highs into the upper 70s to low 80s early next week.
A few showers could return Tuesday into Wednesday, but the forecast does not call for widespread heavy rain.
