Andre Hyppolite has moved from an overlooked prospect to one of South Florida’s top high school football players. The North Miami Beach senior is a four-star athlete, a University of Miami commit and a contender for the 2026 Nat Moore Trophy, CBS News Miami reported.
At North Miami Beach High School, Hyppolite plays wherever the Chargers need him. This season he took over at quarterback after the team’s starter was injured. “Deep down inside, I knew it was me,” he said. “It was no pressure. I just had to do it.”
Head coach Jeff Bertani said Hyppolite is valuable on both sides of the ball and stays grounded despite his recruiting profile. “He doesn’t really know how good he is,” Bertani said. Hyppolite said he prefers delivering hits to taking them, and that scoring on defense brings a different kind of thrill.
Loyalty runs through his story. Hyppolite said Bertani believed in him before most others did, and he credited the coach’s emphasis on loyalty. Bertani said his humility sets him apart from every player he has coached.
Hyppolite’s commitment to Miami means he will stay in his hometown for college. “It’s a good feeling being a local kid from Miami, going to Miami,” he said.
