Jungle Island’s holiday light festival, Luminosa, returns Thursday, Nov. 13, and runs through Sunday, Jan. 10, 2027. The event, created with light-art studio LEKTRIK Art, uses more than 43,600 LEDs along a 1.35-mile path through the park.
This year’s edition is organized into seven themed zones. Visitors will pass glowing flamingos and peacock-feather tunnels in Tropical Miami, classic cars and illuminated instruments in Little Havana, and spray-can sculptures and street-art murals in the Art District. Other zones cover South Beach, a fantasy area called Beyond Miami: Fairland, and a finale with food, music and photo spots.
Jungle Island President and CEO Jeremy Hauwelaert said the show returns to the original idea behind the 2019 debut, which was to reimagine Miami through light. The festival also includes an artisan display with handmade goods and food and cocktails inspired by Latin cuisine.
Hours are 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets start at $25.90 for adults and $17.90 for children, with discounts for families, groups, seniors, students and military personnel. The park is at 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, near Downtown Miami and South Beach.
Tickets are already on sale, so families planning holiday outings may want to book time slots early.
