Coconut Creek police logged a week of incidents from Sept. 29 through Oct. 5, 2026, including a jury duty scam that cost a Wynmoor resident $800. The scam was reported on Cayman Way on Oct. 5.
Other reports included a residential burglary at the Windsor community on Lyons Road, with an estimated loss of $5,151. A motorcycle was reported stolen from the Evergreen area on Wiles Road, and a stolen U-Haul was recovered at Club Caribe on Northwest 61st Street. Two juveniles and an adult were arrested in that case.
Fraud reports also came in. Someone used a credit card online linked to Stagecoach Drive, causing a $35 loss. Separately, a resident reported $984 in fraudulent credit card charges at a Publix on West Hillsboro Boulevard, though that report was filed for documentation only.
Police also documented several violent incidents. A man was arrested on a felony battery charge at a Northwest 43rd Terrace business on Sept. 30 and taken to the Broward County Main Jail. A woman was arrested on Coconut Creek Parkway on Oct. 3 for battery on a law enforcement officer. Another woman was arrested after allegedly battering her roommate at Deerfield Lakes Mobile Home Park on Oct. 5.
Officers also arrested a woman after a traffic stop on North State Road 7 on Oct. 3, where police reported felony narcotics and firearm possession. A juvenile riding an electric motorcycle was arrested after allegedly fleeing officers on Cocolake Drive.
Two Lyons Creek Middle School incidents and a concerning message between students at Monarch High School were also reported to the school. Residents who want the full list can find the complete bulletin from the Coconut Creek Police Department.
