Free weekly concerts, food trucks and a seasonal market are lined up at the Wellington Amphitheater this October, giving Palm Beach County residents a low-cost way to start the weekend.

The October lineup includes a doo-wop group on Thursday, Oct. 8, and a Sugar Music Latin band on Thursday, Oct. 15. Latin jazz artist Tito Puente Jr. plays Friday, Oct. 16. On Saturday, Oct. 17, a Fall Festival and Hotter Than July event features a Stevie Wonder tribute, and a Phil Collins tribute follows on Saturday, Oct. 24. The series closes Thursday, Oct. 29, with a tribute to Electric Light Orchestra.

Shows take place at the amphitheater and the Town Center Promenade at 12100 Forest Hill Blvd. The venue holds about 1,500 people, and organizers suggest bringing portable seats or blankets. Parking and admission are free.

Lakeside Market and the food truck series typically run from 5 to 9 p.m., with music starting between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. The market is seasonal, and vendors and truck times vary.
