A holiday Irish dance show is coming to the Coral Springs Center for the Arts on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. “We Three Kings, The Irish Dance Christmas Sensation” blends step dancing, Christmas music and a family adventure on stage.
Justin Boros, a former lead dancer with Michael Flatley’s “Lord of the Dance,” produces, directs and stars in the production. It features 20 Irish dancers and musicians.
The story is inspired by the Three Magi. The kings face an evil Sugar Plum Fairy and her soldiers, who aim to destroy the Christmas spirit and steal the kingdom’s crown. The show pairs Irish dance with an original cinematic score that reimagines Christmas classics, along with theatrical lighting and storytelling.
Boros started dancing at 15, when he watched “Lord of the Dance” on PBS and taught himself from VHS tapes in his parents’ basement in Akron, Ohio. He later became one of the production’s three American dancers, according to the show’s producers. He also created “Rhythm in the Night, The Irish Dance Spectacular,” which played North American theaters and the Music Master Series at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. In 2020 he competed on NBC’s “The Titan Games.”
Tickets start at $48 and are sold through the Coral Springs Center for the Arts.
