Coral Springs resident Ethan Persten won the 100 and 200 freestyle. He previously swam for Coral Glades and now swims for Cypress Bay High, where he is homeschooled. His father, Brian Persten, said it is the second straight year his son has won both events at the county meet. Persten trains twice a day, his father said, and hopes to swim in college and qualify for the Olympics.
