Man shot multiple times in Sunrise, location of shooting unknown

A man with multiple gunshot wounds was taken to Broward Health Medical Center early Saturday after calling 911, and police have not determined where he was shot.

A man was wounded in a shooting in Sunrise early Saturday morning. Sunrise police said the man called first responders to report he had been shot, and officers were sent to West Sunrise Boulevard near Satin Leaf Way, just south of Sawgrass Mills.

Police said the man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Broward Health Medical Center. Authorities said he was “conscious and breathing” as he was rushed to the hospital.

Investigators do not yet know where the shooting happened. Police said it may have occurred somewhere other than the Sunrise Boulevard location. A department spokesperson said the victim has not provided details about the incident and has been uncooperative with investigators.
