Yung Miami celebrated the release of her debut solo album, “Watch Dis,” at an intimate listening party hosted by 103.5 The Beat at Privé 954 Restaurant & Lounge on Thursday, Oct. 29. The former City Girls rapper, born Caresha Romeka Brownlee, raised a glass of rosé with fans after entering to “Take Me to Chanel.”

During a candid conversation, the Opa-locka native said Miami taught her to be tough. She also addressed her falling out with former bandmate JT and said Diddy had nothing to do with their split. When asked about JT, she pointed to “Dear JT,” the album’s 19th track, which recounts their friendship through good times and bad.

The conversation covered other ground too. She said she would like to bring back her interview show, “Caresha Please,” with Tyler Perry as a guest, and said she is ready to explore acting. She also joked that she wants a man who “smells good,” drawing laughs from the crowd.

The night turned emotional when a fan offered words of encouragement that moved the rapper to tears. Asked how she felt about the release, she said she felt “very blessed, happy and blessed.”

The album features Trina, Rick Ross and Travis Scott, among others. Yung Miami said her current favorite track is “Baby,” featuring Pleasure P.
