A 17-year-old boy surrendered to county juvenile authorities in connection with a violent fight at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre last month that left a victim seriously hurt, law enforcement officials said. He turned himself in at the Juvenile Assessment Center to face a charge of aggravated battery causing bodily harm. His name was withheld because he is a minor.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the fight broke out on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 12, on the grounds of the outdoor music venue near West Palm Beach. Detectives spent several weeks on the case before making the arrest.

On Sept. 20, investigators released surveillance images and asked the public to help identify several “persons of interest” seen in the area during the disturbance. Authorities said a series of tips submitted through Crime Stoppers and the sheriff’s office mobile app led them to the teen, whom they now describe as the primary aggressor.

The case remains under review by juvenile justice authorities.
