A 20-year-old South Miami man accused of killing two brothers in West Perrine appeared in court records on Monday, facing two counts of first-degree murder in Miami-Dade County.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies were called shortly after 5:20 p.m. on Sept. 9 to an apartment near Southwest 102nd Avenue and 175 Street. They found two wounded people on the floor of the master bedroom. The victims were 16-year-old Osvaldo Martinez and his 19-year-old brother, Alexis Martinez, according to the charges.

Detectives identified Kyan Davis as a suspect after recovering surveillance video, according to a deputy’s arrest report. The report says Davis confessed to being in the apartment during questioning on Sept. 19 at the sheriff’s homicide bureau. A witness told deputies that Davis and another person lured victims by offering to sell cannabis pens or other narcotics, then robbed them.

Miami-Dade corrections booked Davis shortly before 7:25 p.m. Saturday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center near Doral. Court records show he also faces two counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and two counts of battery by a detainee in separate pending cases.
