Police swarmed a Hialeah apartment complex overnight after receiving reports of a possible shooting. Few details have been released by investigators.
The incident took place inside a corner unit at the apartment building west of the Palmetto Expressway, at 60th Street and 22nd Court. Video from the scene showed first responders loading a person into a medical helicopter, which then flew someone to a hospital.
A woman who lives in the unit told CBS News Miami that her husband was shot and is OK. A neighbor said she knows the residents and was surprised by the incident, describing them as friendly.
It is not yet known how many people were shot, or whether investigators are looking for a suspect. CBS News Miami said it is working to gather more information.
