Some families zoned for Crystal Lakes Elementary in Boynton Beach could be reassigned to Sunset Palms Elementary under a proposal the Palm Beach County School District will present Thursday, Oct. 22. The change would start in the 2027-2028 school year.
District staff will take the plan to the Advisory Boundary Committee at 6:30 p.m. that day in the board room of the Fulton-Holland Educational Services Center, 3300 Forest Hill Boulevard in West Palm Beach.
The committee will also consider a boundary for a new elementary school, designated “23-H,” in the City of Westlake. Staff propose drawing that attendance zone from parts of the current Golden Grove Elementary and Loxahatchee Groves Elementary boundaries.
Residents can attend in person or join virtually. Those who want to speak remotely must register through the district website, under the dropdown labeled “2026-27 Advisory Boundary Committee (ABC) Meetings with Community Input.” The agenda and supporting documents are also posted there.
