Palm Beach County commissioners took a series of actions at their Oct. 20, 2026, meeting, according to a summary of the county board’s regular agenda published by the Boca Raton Tribune.
The largest was an amendment to the contract with Morganti Group, Inc. for Phase I of the terminal and concourse modernization at Palm Beach International, now known as President Donald J. Trump International Airport. The amendment sets a guaranteed maximum price of $18,768,500 and a 621-calendar-day schedule, and it includes the first one-year renewal option.
Commissioners also directed staff to draft a request for proposals covering two airport property deals. One would sell undeveloped land at North Palm Beach County General Aviation Airport for non-airport use for $30 million. The other would lease undeveloped land at F45 for a second fixed-base operation at market rent.
The board added five full-time security officer positions to the Public Safety Department’s Electronic Services and Security Division, at an estimated $241,764 for fiscal 2027. A one-time $30,000 allocation would cover equipment and minor building upgrades.
Other actions included approval of up to $42 million in airport system revenue refunding bonds and a $150,000 economic development agreement with Space Connect Foundation for contract readiness training. Commissioners also set a Nov. 17 public hearing on a change to the Local Provider Participation Fund ordinance and advanced a proposed Dec. 1 hearing on rules for scooters and e-bikes on county roads and sidewalks. Youth Services approved community agency funding that includes Prime-Time Palm Beach County and the City of Greenacres.
