Drainage work under the city’s Citywide Headwall Improvement Project is set to begin Monday, Nov. 16, near the Sunflower Clubhouse in Tamarac. The City of Tamarac said the start date was moved to Nov. 16 because of recent inclement weather.
NW 70th Avenue will be temporarily closed in front of the clubhouse for about two months. The city expects the overall work at the location to be finished within three months.
Detour signs and traffic control measures will guide drivers around the work zone. Message boards along NW 82nd Avenue and NW 70th Avenue are already up to alert residents and motorists about the closure.
Drivers using the area should follow posted detours and allow extra travel time. The city described the project as part of its effort to strengthen infrastructure and improve drainage across the community.
