The City of Miramar is inviting residents to the Miramar Mile Run & Fitness Con on Saturday, Nov. 7. The event is hosted by Commissioner Yvette Colbourne and bills itself as a day of fitness, fun and family-friendly activities.
The schedule starts with a warm-up at 6:30 a.m. The run begins at 7 a.m. at the start line on Miramar Boulevard and Civic Center Place. Runners finish at the Ansin Sports Complex, 10801 Miramar Blvd., where the finish line is set for 8 a.m.
Organizers said the event will include cash prizes and health and fitness zones. Those who want to take part can register online at RunSignUp.com using the page for the 2026 Miramar Mile Run.
The city also shared a fitness tip ahead of the event, recommending squats, lunges, calf raises and core work two or three times a week to build strength.
