Former West Palm Beach City Commissioner Christina Lambert has finished a series of four public policy roundtables covering 14 issues, and her campaign says it will use the feedback to build a policy agenda for the March 2027 mayoral race.
The sessions ran through October, with the last one on Oct. 24. Each grouped three or four topics, from technology and government transparency to housing, mobility and public safety. Residents, neighborhood leaders and local experts took part. Residents who could not attend can submit ideas through the campaign’s online portal until Nov. 20.
Lambert said the goal is a plan detailed enough to act on from her first day as mayor. Attendees who spoke to the campaign mentioned responsible growth, public transit and light rail, and the cost of living.
The seat is open because Mayor Keith James is term-limited. West Palm Beach has a strong-mayor system, so the mayor oversees the city administrator. Four candidates have filed, including Palm Beach County Commissioner Gregg Weiss, construction professional Aaron Moreno and Cory Kennedy. The Palm Beach Post describes Lambert and Weiss as the front-runners.
Lambert plans a formal campaign kickoff on Nov. 10. The election is March 9, 2027, and a runoff between the top two would be held March 23 if no one wins a majority.
