Rain chances rise across South Florida this Halloween weekend, with stronger winds and a noticeable breeze, according to WSVN 7News. Forecasters describe the air as warm and humid, with highs in the mid-80s.
A stalled front near or just south of the region, paired with another front stalled to the north, is driving the weather. A mid-level low crossing Florida from Sunday into Monday adds to the rain.
On Saturday, expect more clouds than sunshine and scattered showers and storms moving onshore. Some storms could move slowly and bring a risk of flooding. Trick-or-treaters may face a rain delay, but the forecast does not call for a washout.
Sunday looks wetter. Showers and storms are expected at times, especially in the morning and evening, and the risk continues Sunday night into at least Monday morning. Conditions should dry out by the end of Monday, leaving only an isolated shower chance for Election Day.
The rest of next week looks warm, muggy and mostly quiet, with rain chances of 20 to 30 percent. Daylight Saving Time ends early Sunday, so clocks fall back one hour.
